Local Activities

Swimming, kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, waterskiing, sunbathing, tubing … summer is the time when the lake comes alive!

We provide two kayaks and one canoe with your rental, while motor boats and jet skis can be rented locally.

The surrounding forest turns stunning shades of red and gold, making for spectacular foliage tours and bird watching.

Visitors enjoy hiking, fishing and bird hunting, which gives way to deer season in November.

The local town hosts its annual Farmington Fair, with horse and oxen weight pulling competitions, racing, a demolition derby and much more.

The lake freezes over and a whole new range of activities open up, from ice fishing, to skiing, to snowmobiling, and more.

Check out the many hiking, paddling, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and mountain biking trails opportunities here.
